Niagara Wheatfield is $26.03 per $1,000 for Homestead (residential) and $35.52 per $1,000 for Non-Homestead (commercial). Yes. On 6/04/18 the Town Board approved a resolution permitting dogs within Town Parks. Dogs must remain on a leash and owners must clean up after their dogs.

Both parties must be present to obtain the marriage license. What you need to bring: - Proper identification (driver's license, non-driver's ID or passport) - Birth Document (original or certified copy of baptismal or birth certificate in English with your parent's name included). - You will need to provide your social security number - Divorce Decrees from all previous marriages are required - Spousal Death Certificate (if applicable) The license must be obtained at least 24 hours prior to the service and is valid for 60 days. The cost is $40. We accept cash, check or credit card (Discover, Visa or MasterCard only). There is a 2.45% service charge to use a credit card starting at $1.75. Anyone applying for a Marriage License who is 16 or 17 years old should contact the Town Clerk's Office for further information.

If your permanent Handicap Parking Permit tag was issued in the Town of Wheatfield and expired within the past year, bring the expired blue hang tag to the Town Clerk's Office and we can issue you a new one. If you have moved to the Town of Wheatfield from another municipality and need to renew your Handicap Parking Permit, you can have them fax the Handicap Parking Permit Application to the Town Clerk's Office at (716) 694-6441

Note that neither the municipality nor the court receives any portion of the service fee. If you use a credit card, there will be two transaction receipts generated; one for the court fine and one for the service fee.

The Town Court handles Small Claims up to $3,000.00. Note that the person or entity you are filing the claim against must reside, or have an office for the transaction of business or regular employment within the Town of Wheatfield. It is the responsibility of the Plaintiff to determine if the Defendant resides within the Town. If you would like to file a Small Claim in Wheatfield Court, you must stop by the office between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday to fill out the necessary paperwork which the Court provides. Filing fee for claims from $0 to $1,000.00 is $10.00, and the fee for $1,001.00 to $3,000.00 is $15.00.
If you would like to file an Eviction, they are scheduled during the day or evening on Judge Strenkoski’s Court Night or at 7:30 p.m. on Judge Stamm-Philipp’s court nights. However you must call or visit the Court Office for a date.
Also, the Court does not provide the eviction papers. We can give you information where to purchase them, together with other information that would be helpful to you, if you visit the Court Office. The eviction papers, along with the notarized Affidavit of Service, must be filed with the Court no later than the Friday before the court date, together with the $20 filing fee.

A compliance inspection, with a $50 fee, is required before closing. Contact your attorney to make sure their office is handling that. It is the homeowner's responsibility to call the Water Department with their final meter reading and forwarding address at closing to close out their water account.
