1. What fees can I pay online?: You can now pay County and Town fees such as Water, Taxes and Licenses online. Please access Wheatfield.ny.us

2. How do I apply for a marriage license?: Both parties must be present to obtain the marriage license. What you need to bring: - Proper identification (driver's license, non-driver's ID or passport) - Birth Document (original or certified copy of baptismal or birth certificate in English with your parent's name included). - You will need to provide your social security number - Divorce Decrees from all previous marriages are required - Spousal Death Certificate (if applicable) The license must be obtained at least 24 hours prior to the service and is valid for 60 days. The cost is $40. We accept cash, check or credit card (Discover, Visa or MasterCard only). There is a 2.45% service charge to use a credit card starting at $1.75. Anyone applying for a Marriage License who is 16 or 17 years old should contact the Town Clerk's Office for further information.

3. What do I need to get a Handicap Parking Permit?: You will need take the Parking Permit Application to your doctor's office to be completed. Once completed, bring to the Town Clerk's Office with your Driver's License or Non-Driver's ID and we will issue the parking permit.

If you are unable to come in to the office, you can send someone on your behalf, but they will need to bring in your Driver's License or Non-Driver's ID. Parking Permit Application

4. How do I renew my permanent Handicap Parking Permit tag?: If your permanent Handicap Parking Permit tag was issued in the Town of Wheatfield and expired within the past year, bring the expired blue hang tag to the Town Clerk's Office and we can issue you a new one. If you have moved to the Town of Wheatfield from another municipality and need to renew your Handicap Parking Permit, you can have them fax the Handicap Parking Permit Application to the Town Clerk's Office at (716) 694-6441

6. I never received my Town & County Tax bill.: State Law 922 states that the failure to receive a tax bill or receive a late bill does not affect the validity of the taxes or the interest prescribed by law. It is the property owner's responsibility to be aware when the taxes are due.

7. Can I make a partial payment on my Town & County taxes?: No, State Law 928-a states that the Tax Receiver cannot accept partial payments.

8. Can the penalty be waived on my Town & County taxes?: No, State Law 920 states that the Tax Receiver may not waive a penalty for any reason. There are no exceptions to this law.
