Curt was first elected to serve on the Town Council beginning January 1, 2018.  He lives in the Wheatfield Lakes subdivision with his wife Rebecca and three children - Olivia, Ella, and Matthew.  Curt often insists that “Wheatfield is the best community in Western New York” and believes that his passion and commitment to long-term success will serve Wheatfield families well.

Councilman Doktor possesses a bachelor’s degree in business from Empire State College and a master’s in library science from the University of Buffalo.  He has over 20 years of professional experience working for major corporations which include Fisher-Price (Mattel), M&T Bank, and First Commonwealth Bank.  Doktor has worked in several dynamic digital, marketing/sales, and security roles over the years.  Currently, he is SVP of Digital and Payments at First Commonwealth where he develops strategy and leads the product teams.  These channels support 450,000 retail, small business, and commercial customers for the enterprise.

Doktor first became involved serving as a volunteer on several task-specific focus groups, now known as the Wheatfield Enhancement Volunteers (WEV).  The WEVs are a dedicated group of residents who are proud to live in the Town of Wheatfield.  They take on initiatives to make our fantastic community even better.  Our current focus is directed at improvements along Niagara Falls Boulevard including safety, beautification, and attracting desirable commerce.  Curt serves as Chairman and Town Board Liaison on the Team.

Doktor has worked diligently to control expenses, make responsible investments, and promote community involvement.  In his first term, he led the effort to convert over 400 streetlights to efficient LEDs.  This effort was completed in 2020 and reduces our electricity expense burden by thousands of dollars annually.
